OK, so it’s not Brooklyn, but it doesn’t mean we don’t have a lot of respect for the Bronx. Pt.1, Pt.2, Pt.3
DJ Team, C2C, at DMC in 2005.
Always a sucker for turntablist gymnastics, I am struck by this 4-man DJ squad’s fun synchchronized routine. They are the Four Tops (or would The Spinners be more appropriate) of the wheels of steel. Also, their choice of jazzier cuts lends much class to the sport. Enjoy.
Music Break
This song was used by Saatchi and Saatchi in an ad for JC Penny. The imagery in the ad is naturally much nicer than the full-length music video. Enjoy them both. Forever Thursday – “How Can It Be” Featuring Melanie Horsnell on vocals
Royksopp – Remind Me
The more ambient version of this song is currently featured in Geico’s clever “Caveman” ad campaign.
Love yourself some mashup.
Stumbled across this sweet little Gnarls Barkley mashup on Hype Machine. While you’re at it, swing to The Doors’s slightly reimagined Peace Frog.
