Planning is already underway for monthly meetups, self-organized, in different Brooklyn neighborhoods. The first one will be June 24 in Flatbush. Details hopefully to be announced over the weekend.

Sorry there hasn’t been more out there about this already but hey, it’s only been a week!

I wonder if it is the browser. I haven’t had any problems seeing the link with different browsers on both Mac and Windows. It also takes a few moments to load. Wish I could be more help.

You said it. The whole place was very charming. We also had some great barbeque there. Nice variety of people, too. A great mix of mexican families and gringos. Looks like the place was growing quickly. I think many people are relocating from higher priced areas like California.

Hi Derek… Don’t you love New Braunfels? I miss the German bakeries. We had a great place in the Hill Country during our 11 years in Texas. One of my favorite areas of Texas! Have you been to Gruene Hall? Your site is cool… My first look-see. Hope you had a wonderful time in Guanajuato…

Well, i just worked on a post that was far funnier and interesting than what I am about to write. I had worked on something for over an hour (I try VERY hard to be funny) and because spammers exist, my blog host has security measures in place that prevent posting from being simple anymore. Just one more reason why I will be moving this over to my own dedicated host with WordPress software. Oh well, we’ll suffer together…

Tomorrow, the entire mexifamilia, including the irresistable baby Carlito, will be headed over to Tlacque Pacque to enjoy some real deal mariachi music and more great food. I must have gained about 10 pounds since I arrived.

Spent another day exploring Guadalajara today. We went to Lake Chapala, the largest body of water in Mexico.

Oops, the internet is now closing. Will have to follow up tomorrow.

Dad, HAPPY BDAY!!! I tried to reach you but kept getting disconnected. Will try again.

Love to all. Heading towards Guanajuato and Mexico City tomorrow or Monday. We are in good hands.
